Good evening fine folks I have so much to share. I just went to Florida and did some fishing. I have the first FOM tournament coming up March 17th on Barren. I look forward to seeing seeing some of you all there. The meeting will be at Crossland Community church, across from Colton’s in Glasgow KY. The time will be 6 p.m.
In this little snip-it I am just going to include some fishing information for Barren. As most of you all know the water is way up. It is also a real nice brown color. The good thing is the bass are up relating to wood cover and what better time to throw a spinnerbait.! Man I love a spinnerbait. Each time i pull one over a limb I can’t help but think a monster is going to eat it. Above is a picture of Eric Price who caught that fish in four feet of water on a Banjo Blade spinnerbait.
Well lets talk about the crappie. They are eating folks. Today crappie were found in around 18 feet of water. Spider rigs, Bobby Garland jigs are good choices. Also around wood and a live minnow is hard to beat. The guys from Barren Outdoors caught some good ones today.
Carry Eaton with a Barren River Lake Crappie.
I hope you all get out and catch some fish. The fish think spring is here and I hope they are right. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Good Luck and God Bless.
